Main goal of the Project
The main goal of the project is to create an academia-based platform to discover substances acting on serotonergic or glutamatergic systems as potential new antidepressant or anxiolytic drugs, more effective, with shorter onset of action, possessing less unwanted side-effects. A key to identification of potential new drugs, is a chemical diversity of compounds, which will be obtained from a variety of Polish and Norwegian research institutions as well as validated methods (theoretical and technical) enabling their efficient testing.
